Sean Miller

Owner and Training Director

Sean Miller is the owner of the American Dog School in Denver. He is a professional dog trainer who started his career with dogs in 1995 working with pet dogs, service dogs, patrol dogs, sport dogs and security dogs. Sean specializes in behavior modification, all levels of obedience, service dog training, tracking, and protection work. He has the privilege of working with dogs of all breeds and sizes.

Sean began training dogs when he was a teenager. He later apprenticed under a trainer with extensive police, military, sport, and detection experience. He then began studying dog psychology and animal behavior. Sean began training pet dogs because he saw a large percentage of dogs whose owners needed a lot of help, even though they may have already been to other trainers. He then went into business professionally because he saw a growing need for a professional trainer who utilized many techniques with a strong focus in motivational training. Sean is dedicated to continuing his education in order to stay on top of the latest training techniques and behavior studies.

Graduated from multiple courses from The Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers.
Certified Expert witness on temperament, training and kenneling related cases
Supplies dogs, training and handling for TV shows, advertisements, as well as print ads
Serves as a training consultant for multiple service dog organizations, rescues and shelters
Created and implemented “Dogs and Community Safety” training program for multiple police departments in CO.
Regularly volunteers with multiple rescue organizations and rehabilitates their dogs
Sean has also competed and title dogs in multiple dogs sports, including Schutzhund and Mondioring. These are two of the most difficult dog sports in the world. In addition to to earning titles in these sports, he has also won high scoring in: SchH1, SchH2, SchH3, high scoring in protection at multiple levels, as well as High in Trial.

In addition to his memberships, Sean has rescued and fostered many problem or troubled dogs. He has and continues to volunteer his time to rehabilitate these dogs so they can live happy and healthy lives.
